About Validmaydelay
A library run by practitioners, for practitioners.
Validmaydelay was started in 2021 by three engineers and a product director who'd grown tired of technical reading recommendations that came either from a vendor blog or a generic best-of listicle. We curate the library from the inside: every editor on staff has shipped production software at scale, and we acquire titles based on whether they actually held up when we read them — not on publisher marketing.
How we curate
Every title is read end-to-end by an editor with relevant practitioner background. We're transparent about what we considered and rejected, and we publish written notes for every title explaining why it earned its slot — not just PR-speak summaries.
Why no vendor sponsorships
Other technical reading platforms run on vendor sponsorships and affiliate stacks. We don't. Members and team licenses fund the library, which means our recommendations stay accountable to readers — not advertisers.
Who we serve
Working engineers at any level, technical founders, senior product managers, and engineering leaders. We also offer team licenses for engineering organizations who want a shared reading culture without negotiating individual subscriptions.
